Amy Winehouse Uses the "Midget Defense"

Friday July 24, 2009 8:00 AM

So, Amy Winehouse was in court on Thursday, to face charges that she punched a woman in the face, dancer Sherene Flash. If that ain’t a stripper name, we don’t know what is.

To the point, though, when it came time for Ames to craft her defense, she told the judge she couldn’t have punched the woman, because she was too short! Brilliant!

“My hair does make a difference,” said Winehouse, apparently pointing out that Beehives don’t throw punches.

“Don’t Fall Prey to the Deceptive Beehive”

On the plus side, she looked fairly normal when she showed up at the courthouse, for the first time in ages.

We’ve always assumed that Winehouse was 7 feet tall, since she always looks like two sticks held together by a piece of gum, but this new knowledge underscores just how cracked out skinny she usually looks.

We’re pretty sure Ames is telling the truth, because people, like dogs, can’t look up. Case. closed.
