It’s Tuesday, June 30th, and Michael Jackson is dead.
Yeah, a lot of people are getting tired of hearing about MJ, what with every news cast leading off with it. You’ve got Crazy Ass Joe Jackson taking time off from his mourning to plug his new business venture at the BET awards, and even Emmanuel Lewis, TV’s Webster, is offering his condolences, when he’s not scoring some tail.
YouTuber Jon Lajoie manages to sum up what a lot of people are feeling in this funny YouTube song, “Michael Jackson is Dead.” Jon calls out the media, the fans, the whole world for suddenly turning all nostalgic about Jacko, after two solid decades of making fun of the man.
Someday soon, the world will return to normal, and the TEE-VEE won’t be all Michael, all the time. Until then, nobody’s giving us anything else to write about. If a star opens his mouth, it’s to say something about Michael Jackson.
