Only Family Guy could take a suuuuper sensitive subject like dealing with your neighborhood pedophile and make it hilarious. In case you’ve forgotten, allow us to reintroduce you to the most likable degenerate Herbert the Pervert. A running gag on Family is to have Herbert attempt to entice Chris Griffin into his basement for popsicles and the like.
In the episode “The Courtship of Stewie’s Father”, the show goes a click further. Chris has broken Herbert’s window with a baseball and now must do chores for him to repay his debt. And of course a “relationship” of sorts follows. (At least in Herbert’s mind.) Herbert fantasizes a la Little Shop of Horrors singing Dottie’s song “Somewhere That’s Green”, of a life where he and Chris settle down together. For turning perverts into a kneeslapping song of a time we happily induct Herbert’s song into the Music Comedy Hall of Fame.
