In case you’ve forgotten, last season on American Idol it was down to two Davids: Archuleta and Cook. These tweens were die hard David Archuleta fans. And well, we all know how this story played out. David Cook won season 7 of American Idol. To say these girls were heartbroken is the understatement of the 00’s.
We can’t believe that someone’s mom videotaped this and then allowed one of these girls to upload this to YouTube. Isn’t that part of being a parent, to step in and say, “I know you’re angry. We’re ALL angry that David Cook won. But maybe titling this ‘The Most Horrible Day of My Life’ and uploading it to the entire world isn’t the best idea right now. How about instead you write in your Hello Kitty journal, have some ice cream, and then a good cry in the shower. I promise one day you’ll look back on this and laugh.”?
We wonder who the girls are voting for this year? Are they on Team Adam Lambert or are they Kris Allen girls? Who knows maybe we’ll get a reprise of this video some time next week. We’re guessing they’re rooting for Adam Lambert. In which case, this year’s video will be pretty boring seeing as he’s pretty much a shoe in. But ya never know. Either way we’re happy to induct this video into the Music Comedy Hall of Fame.
