So, okay, we know the animation isn’t the best in the world, but the concept is super cute. Walt Handelsman, Pulitzer Prize winner known primarily for his political cartoons has taking to adapting the music of West Side Story into a mini-medley called “Worst Slide Story”

The economic climate is a touchy subject. It’s hard to find the humor in such grim times. Walt manages to find something funny and cute that won’t leave you feeling bummed out afterwards. Plus it totally inspired us to rewatch the opening to the movie. Defnitely one of the coolest openings to a movie musical ever.
