9 Songs Elton John Will Be Singing Now That The Recession Has Hit Him Too

According to the Associated Press huge British music stars like Sir Elton John have been hit hard this year too. Apparently he’s lost a quarter of his wealth this year (don’t worry he’s still worth around $255 million dollars). Here are 9 new spins on some old favorites that we expect Elton to be releasing this year:

#9 “Don’t Let the Dow Go Down On Me”
The other 8 after the jump.

#8 “Goodbye Yellow Brick Gold”
#7 “Circle of Debt”
#6 “The Bitch Is In The Red”

#5 “I Guess That’s Why They Call It The Recession”

#4 “Take Me to the Accountant”

#3 “Don’t Go Breaking My Nest Egg”

#2 “Saturday’s Alright For Staying in With A 2 Dollar Bottle Of Wine And Watching A DVD”

#1 “Bennie and the Coach Seat on Southwest Airlines”

And even with a loss Elton gave away even more to charity this year than last year. So we guess he’s still standing.
